He's not just a gardener. A budding philosopher, a bit of a poet and storyteller, Michel Manevy is also the stuff visual artists are made of.

At 81, the retired horticulturist devotes himself to this fascinating 7,000 garden, located on the aptly named Chemin du Jardin-Botanique in Fonsala. A timeless place that he has been developing at his own pace for fifty-three years, having started as the end of the family nursery was approaching.

All year round, upon request, you can visit the garden , but this weekend it is especially open for the Rendez-vous aux jardins.
